The Joint Force Headquarters-National Capital Region hosted an Easter Sunrise Service Sunday, March 27, 2005 at Arlington National Cemetery’s Memorial Amphitheater. Here a member of the Navy Honor Guard stands during the the early morning Easter gathering. The free, nondenominational worship service began with the United States Air Force Band playing a prelude concert at 6:15 a.m. Call to worship started at 6:30 a.m. Rear Admiral Robert F. Burt, Deputy Chief of Navy Chaplains and Chaplain of the Marine Corps delivered the sermon. Members of the military community, general public, and media attended the joint-service event.
