Joleene Naylor’s website and blog are a hell of a lot of fun and a great resource for writers. She is an indie author and artist who writes some damn fine vampire fiction. (I am currently enjoying her excellent “Tales from the Island,” from her “Amaranthine Vampire Series.” (“Tales” is set of six short stories available for free at Smashwords — see the link at her website.)
Be sure to check out her blog, as well as the huge collection of her photographs that she makes available for use by independent creators. (And, yes, many are just great for horror stories — I’m planning on snagging a couple for myself.)
There is also a great section at her site containing free and cheap resources for indie authors.
