It was only recently that I learned that the name ‘Arkham’ was used in the writings of H.P. Lovecraft. It was the town that many of his stories took place. The fabled Miskatonic University is rooted to this community.
I have a t-shirt from Miskatonic University Department of Necromancy. Their claim is ‘Bringing dead things back to life since 1690’. There is also a logo of Cthulhu imprinted between the university’s name and that of the department.
Not that this has anything to do with the Batman universe, other than the name ‘Arkham’.
