A false flag operation …

I am not altogether informed about artificial intelligence.  But I glean enough from memes and headlines to make me apprehensive.  (I’m a pro at cursory neurotic doomscrolling, people.)

I’ve been hearing a lot on social media from creators reporting that “AI detector” programs are falsely flagging their work as AI-generated.  (In other words, there are apparently a lot of false positives.)

Part of me is just reassured that AI detectors are even a thing.  (Maybe they are a promising starting point, if they can be improved and refined?)
