Crunchy Girl Haiku

Crunchy Girl Haiku:

Great sense of humor,
But don’t call her “Crunchy Girl.”
She doesn’t like that.

Crowdsourcing, crowdfunding … crowdediting?

I thought this was an interesting and neat idea — you can actually apply online to be a “curator” (i.e., a reader panelist who helps the publisher select stories and poems for publication) for FictionMagazines.com.

Publication Notice, Under The Bed Magazine to feature “The Song of the Wheat.”

I’ve been informed by the nice folks at Under The Bed Magazine that my short horror story, “The Song of the Wheat,” will appear in an upcoming issue.

This should be my first short story in a print publication inside the United States. This should also be my first real foray into supernatural horror, as opposed to science fiction horror.

I am tremendously grateful to Managing Editor Wednesday Lee Friday and her colleagues for granting me exposure in this terrific horror magazine.

Blimey …

Unforeseen consequences of chatting with friends in Britain?

You start addressing every new person you meet online as “Mate.”

Shine ON, you Crazy Diamond!!!

I have a dear friend who gives me pep talks concerning my writing.

She is always telling me to “shine.”

I suspect she has not read Stephen King’s “The Shining.”

Don’t get bitten …

It’s frigid February night, and I am relaxing with some first-rate zombie fiction from a terrific writer, Andrew Freudenberg.

In addition to being another good and friendly “chap” from across the pond, Andrew pens tales that would make George A. Romero proud. Check out his bibliography at Amazon here:

Nerd Nirvana!

I have just befriended Linda Hamilton via Facebook!  🙂

The following was my message to her on her wall:

Dear Ms. Hamilton:

Thank you for your amazing performances in the “Terminator” films; only your talents could make Sarah Connor such a strong yet nuanced heroine. I hope you realize that countless science fiction fans are happy for your well deserved success.

I won’t bother to point out the irony of befriending you via a global computer network. You’ve heard that joke before.

Sincerely,

Eric Robert Nolan

Another nice review for “The Dogs Don’t Bark In Brooklyn Any More.”

This one is from Amazon Reviewer Rowena Hoseason, who gave it four out of five stars.

Ms. Hoseason is one of Amazon’s top reviewers, with a ranking of 12. Her review can be seen at the book’s Amazon UK page:
