“Finally,” by Dennis Villelmi

And here is yet another great piece by my friend, Dennis Villelmi.

Once again, we see classical images and motifs expertly employed. Dennis has an enviable talent for expressing himself.

New Release Date for “The Dogs Don’t Bark In Brooklyn Any More”

Quick update — the release date for “The Dogs Don’t Bark In Brooklyn Any More” has been moved up to November 19, 2013.

Thanks, Steve …

I got a great birthday present this year from the damn talented artist and fellow Mary Washington College graduate, Steve Miller.

They were two amazing prints of musicians, and they’re great inspiration for a writer. Not to mention that they make me recall some rather memorable parties on Sunken Road in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

You can get a nice sampling of Steve’s artwork here.

My two pieces were selected from Music Collection I. 🙂

Publication Notice, Dagda Publishing to include “Three Dreamers” in its Upcoming Poetry Anthology, “Threads”

I am honored to say that three poems of mine have been selected for Dagda Publishing’s next poetry anthology, “Threads.”

The set of poems is entitled “Three Dreamers,” and includes the poems, “The Writer,” “The Secretary,” and “The Bureaucrat.” They describe three people who work at an office together, and explores the darkness in the heart of each one through the iconography of their dreams.

This will be the first time any of my poetry has been featured in an anthology, and I’m very grateful that Dagda felt that they were worthy of inclusion.

The anthology will be released by Dagda on September 27th. “Three Dreamers” was first published by Dagda in January 2013.

It really is a very nice group of people over at the Bright Light Cafe; they posted a warm welcome for me at their Facebook page.

From Bright Light Cafe: [“Thank you for joining us in welcoming Eric Robert Nolan (USA) into the Bright Light Creative Family with his charmingly romantic poem, “In Washington With My Love”. I’ve never enjoyed the good fortune of travelling through America’s capitol yet Eric manages to transport me there with his words – obviously it is a beautiful area, made so much more beautiful by being there with the one he loves.”]
