“I LOVE LAMP.”

Are these the coolest Valentines goodies ever?!?!  That is a Himalayan Salt Lamp up top and that’s a big shiny lapel pin on the bottom.  I think the lamp looks like one of the Sankara Stones from “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom” (1984).

And I think the anatomically accurate heart looks like one of the metal hearts created by Dr. Jacob Farmer in my horror tale, “At the End of the World, My Daughter Wept Metal.”  My Valentine didn’t even mean it that way — she just thought the pin was funny … which just kinda makes it awesomely, ominously meta.

Now whoever sees me in my overcoat is forewarned that my hubris will destroy the world.  (Clock’s ticking, people.)

Sundress releases its 2018 Best of the Net Anthology.

Although I was lucky enough to have a short story nominated for the collection, it wasn’t ultimately selected.  (The editors of The Bees Are Dead nominated my science fiction-horror  story, “At the End of the World, My Daughter Wept Metal.”)

Congratulations to all of the writers whose work was selected!  I look forward to reading it!

Eric Robert Nolan nominated for the Sundress Publications 2018 Best of the Net Anthology

I am honored today to share some wonderful news — my colleagues over at The Bees Are Dead have graciously nominated a short story of mine for the Sundress Publications 2018 Best of the Net Anthology.

The title of the story is “At the End of the World, My Daughter Wept Metal,” and it was published last August over at the B.A.D. website.  (You can find it right here.)  It is an apocalyptic sci-fi horror tale in which nanotechnology is used for an astonishing medical breakthrough  — but then goes horribly, catastrophically wrong.

I would like to thank B.A.D. Editors Philippe Atherton-Blenkiron and Dennis Villelmi for the nomination and their invaluable support for my work.  I am truly grateful.

I am quite grateful tonight to see The Bees Are Dead publish my apocalyptic science-fiction/horror story, “At the End of the World, My Daughter Wept Metal.”  (You can find it at the link below.)

I hope you enjoy it. It’s definitely one of my darker tales, and I was fortunate to receive some terrific editorial guidance from Philippe Atherton-Blenkiron, which greatly improved my original text.

I am honored to share here that my colleagues over at The Bees Are Dead have agreed to publish my science fiction – horror story, “At the End of the World, My Daughter Wept Metal.”

The story, which originally appeared in Dagda Publishing’s “All Hail the New Flesh” story anthology, should be featured at the online magazine’s website by the end of this month.  I will post a link here when it appears.

I am quite grateful to Philippe Atherton-Blenkiron and Dennis Villelmi for this opportunity — not to mention B.A.D.’s invaluable editorial input, which helped me to tighten up my writing considerably.  Cheers, Mates!
