Asides

Quick note — I added a “Stories” page here following my self-publication yesterday of “Iridescent Green Sharks” at Wattpad.com. The next entry on the page will be Every Day Fiction’s publication of “The Silver Leaf” on Thursday.

I’ve been lucky to find some success with poetry since first seeking publication last November (as well as my upcoming novel), and I would like to focus more on publishing short stories. I have a few submitted at various markets; I’ll post links if they are accepted for publication.

Quick update — Every Day Fiction released its October Table of Contents yesterday.  My short story, “The Silver Leaf,” will be published on October 10.

Quick update — Every Day Poets released its October Table of Contents yesterday; my humorous poem, “Feast,” will appear on October 16.

It really is a very nice group of people over at the Bright Light Cafe; they posted a warm welcome for me at their Facebook page.

From Bright Light Cafe: [“Thank you for joining us in welcoming Eric Robert Nolan (USA) into the Bright Light Creative Family with his charmingly romantic poem, “In Washington With My Love”. I’ve never enjoyed the good fortune of travelling through America’s capitol yet Eric manages to transport me there with his words – obviously it is a beautiful area, made so much more beautiful by being there with the one he loves.”]

I got a nice mention in the Dagda Publishing newsletter today for “The Dogs Don’t Bark In Brooklyn Anymore.”

Thanks, guys. 🙂

The staff at the University of Mary Washington Office of Alumni Relations, and the University of Mary Washington Magazine, are just wonderful to interact with — prompt, pleasant and extremely helpful.  🙂

I just wanted to thank all of my friends and alums who have helped me out by sharing or reposting my book announcement.

It is MUCH appreciated. 🙂

It’s just terrific working with the creative staff over at Dagda Publishing.  They’ve got a lot of great talent over there.

I just wanted to thank my friends  –

I just wanted to thank my friends  – both old and new – who have recently offered me some much needed encouragement and kind comments about my writing, especially over the past couple of weeks.   I’m grateful today in particular for Tina, Sazl, Michelle, Lisa, Angela, Jason, Russ,  Tim and Michael.  🙂

I’m really quite fortunate to have people be so generous in their appraisals, not to mention such immensely good natured people in my life.
