She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that’s best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes;

This show ran for over 900 episodes between 1989 and 1998. Wow — I remember it being it on all the time, but I don’t remember it being quite such an institution.
