Fool’s gold!

I finally got to see for myself what “fool’s gold” (pyrite) looks like.

Next year I might just hand these out willy-nilly and tell my friends it’s real gold.

Merry Christmas, All!

I am wishing you and your loved ones a very merry Christmas — and a peaceful, prosperous and joyous New Year!!!

“‘Twas the Night Before Christmas,” by Clement Clarke Moore (read by Eric Robert Nolan)

(The actual title for the poem is “A Visit From St. Nicholas.”)

A day to reflect.

I just love this one shot from yesterday’s video of Jefferson Street in the rain.  (I just figured out how to export frames from a video.)

Just in case I miss you guys tomorrow …

I wanted to wish a Merry Christmas to each of you.

(This meme is not my own; I found it in the wilds of the Internet.  I will gladly acknowledge the creator if notified.)

“Christmas Delivery,” Jose Frappa, circa 1904

I wish I had a cool name like “Jose Frappa.”  Maybe it’s not too late.  Maybe I can change my name.  Dude died in 1904.
