Down in the Dirt magazine will feature “An Ode to the Paintings of Newly Discovered Artist.”

I got some more good news today, gang — Down in the Dirt magazine will feature another poem of mine in its November 2020 issue.  This time out, it will be my newer (and entirely apolitical!) piece, “An Ode to the Paintings of Newly Discovered Artist.”

The poem will be published online soon over at Scars Publications; the magazine itself will be available for purchase via Amazon this Fall.  I’ll post a link when it becomes available.

As always, I am grateful to Editor Janet Kuypers for selecting my work!

Down in the Dirt magazine features “The Writer”

I’m honored to share here that Down in the Dirt magazine published my poem “The Writer” today in its May 2020 issue.  The issue is entitled Seasons, and you can order a copy of it over at Amazon right here.   You can also read the entire magazine for free online right here.

Down in the Dirt is always a terrific venue for featuring fresh and interesting voices in indie lit.  Once again, I am grateful to Editor Janet Kuypers for allowing me to see my work published there.

I’m getting Down in the Dirt again.

I got some great news tonight — I’ll get to see my poetry featured in Scars Publications’ Down in the Dirt magazine for a third time.  My poem “The Writer” will appear in the May 2020 issue.

The poem will also appear this week at the Scars website.  (The publisher produces both Down in the Dirt and cc&d magazines.)  Finally, “The Writer” might also be featured in future Down in the Dirt collections; the magazine regularly reprints selected poems in anthology format.  (I was lucky enough last March to see my poem “hens staring upward” reprinted in The Flickering Light anthology following its initial publication.)

Thank you, Editor Janet Kuypers, for allowing me to join the range of talented voices that are regularly showcased by Down in the Dirt!

“hens staring upward” selected for “The Flickering Light” poetry collection

I’m quite happy to share here that my poem “hens staring upward” was selected by Down in the Dirt magazine for its latest poetry collection, The Flickering LightI was honored to have this poem originally published by Down in the Dirt in its April issue; seeing it subsequently selected for The Flickering Light today was a nice surprise!

If you’d like to order a copy of the anthology, you can find it right here over at Amazon.

Thank you, Editor Janet Kuypers, for allowing me to join the creative community of Down in the Dirt!
