Publication Notice, Dead Snakes Features My Poem, “Industrial Revolution.”

The poetry e-zine Dead Snakes yesterday kindly featured a poem of mine entitled “Industrial Revolution.” This is the longest and most personal poem I have ever written. It was penned over a period of three days last May, and is divided into six parts.

The poem was also a technical experiment — I wanted to take the same words and motifs and see to what extent I could repeat them in different contexts.

Dagda Publishing today released “Chorus,” the first chapter of “The Dogs Don’t Bark In Brooklyn Any More,” for free download via Smashwords.

I originally wrote “Chorus” as a standalone milieu-type horror/science fiction story, which was later developed into the full novel that Dagda will release worldwide on November 19th. So it is quite easily enjoyed on its own, in addition to introducing the fictional world of The War Between The Species.

Goodreads Pre-release Page Attracts Positive Response for “The Dogs Don’t Bark In Brooklyn Any More.”

The Goodreads pre-release page for my upcoming horror/science fiction novel, “The Dogs Don’t Bark In Brooklyn Any More,” is getting a nice response — 245 people have entered to win a free copy, while a large number of Goodreads members have marked it as “to read.”

Dead Beats Literary Blog Features “The Disappearance of Little Tommy Drummond.”

I am also quite honored today to see my short story, “The Disappearance of Little Tommy Drummond,” appear over at Dead Beats Literary Blog. Illumen Magazine Features “Three Dreamers.”

I was very pleased today to receive the Winter 2013 issue of Illumen Magazine, which featured my set of three poems, entitled “Three Dreamers.” This marks the first time my poetry has appeared in print format inside the United States, and the first time as well that I have been paid for my poetry.

Illumen is a print magazine of speculative poetry edited by Terrie Leigh Relf. It is published biannually by Alban Lake Publishing [previously it was published by Sam’s Dot Publishing], on April 1 and October 1, in perfect bound digest format. It contains speculative poetry, illustrations, articles, and reviews.

Dagda Publishing Releases Cover Artwork for “The Dogs Don’t Bark In Brooklyn Any More.”

Dagda Publishing has released the cover artwork for my soon-to-be-released science fiction novel, “The Dogs Don’t Bark In Brooklyn Any More.”  Dagda’s artist, AD Warr, did a fantastic job, both with the quality of the art itself and also with the concept — integrating the image of a wolf with an overlay of a city map.  This is just great work, and I’m grateful for the talent and effort that obviously produced it.

“Confession” receives very positive reader response.

I received a very gracious note today from the good folks over at Dead Beats Literary Blog.  They informed me that my poem, “Confession,” which was published there yesterday, received more than 70 “notes” — “likes,” “reblogs” and positive comments.  This is an unusual amount for a single piece, they explained.

I am very grateful — both to Dead Beats and to their readers who reacted so kindly to my work.  🙂
