I had a haiku included on the Dead Letter Radio podcast!

I’m so happy to have a haiku of mine featured today on Episode 47 the Dead Letter Radio podcast.  (This is a short, special episode dedicated to haiku; it features examples of the short form from more than 30 writers.)

Mine is an untitled haiku about a bleak night this past February; you can hear it at the 9:08 mark right here.

Thanks again to host Taize Jones!

Dead Letter Radio features “Imagine the Moon as Companion”

I’m truly honored today to hear another of my poems read by Taize Jones on Dead Letter Radio.  This time out, Taize employed his vocal talents to interpret “Imagine the Moon as Companion” on Episode 41 of the program.  You can find it right here — my piece begins right at the seven-minute mark.

You can also find the episode on SpotifyApple Podcasts and Listen Notes.

Dead Letter Radio remains a unique online venue for writers and listeners — its tone and atmosphere are less like those of a podcast and more like sitting down, relaxing and reading aloud with a few good friends.  For me, it’s one of the best things on the net.

“Confession” featured on the Dead Letter Radio podcast

I’m truly honored today to hear my poem “Confession” read by host Taize Jones on the Dead Letter Radio podcast!  Taize did a pitch perfect job interpreting the piece, as he has with my poems that he selected in the past.  You can listen to the episode right here; the poem begins at the 9:05 mark.

Dead Letter Radio is one of the coolest things I’ve found on the net in a long time; I highly recommend that you check it out.  It’s also available on SpotifyApple Podcasts and over at Listen Notes.

Thanks once again, Taize!

Dead Letter Radio features “hens staring upward”

I’m honored today to find another poem of mine featured on the Dead Letter Radio podcast!  Host Taize Jones offered a wonderful reading of “hens staring upward” on Episode 15 of the weekly program.  (My piece is the last that Taize interprets — it starts at the 13:00 mark in the podcast.)

You can hear the entire episode right here.  Dead Letter Radio is also available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and over at Listen Notes.  It really is a terrific show; I highly recommend that you check it out.

Thanks again, Taize!

Dead Letter Radio Features “March Midnight Window”

I’m honored to share here that several of my poems have been selected by the Dead Letter Radio podcast!  “March Midnight Window” was the first last night to be read and interpreted by host Taize Jones, who brings a relatable and sublimely empathetic voice to his program.  My poem is the sixth and last piece to be read on Episode 10, “Eisegesis” (at about the 18:02 mark).

You can listen to the entire episode right here.  Dead Letter Radio is also available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and over at Listen Notes.

I really recommend that you check out Taize’s show.  It’s a truly unique online venue — giving listeners the feel that they are reacting to poems with a trusted friend.  (I’ll bet that its style of presentation successfully engages many new readers of poetry.)

Thanks again, Taize!
