Peeking Cat Poetry Magazine to publish “Iphigenia’s Womb”

I received some nice news this morning — Peeking Cat Poetry Magazine will publish my my poem “Iphigenia’s Womb” in its upcoming December 2017 issue.  This poem appeared previously appeared in 2014 in Dead Snakes and 2015 in Aphelion.

As always, I am grateful to Editor Samantha Rose for allowing me to share my work with the readers of Peeking Cat.

Poet Jennifer S. will read my poem,”hens staring upward”

I received some nice news a little while ago — Jennifer S. will record my poem, “hens staring upward,” as part of her ongoing Youtube audio series.  As I’ve shared here at the blog before, Jenny is a poet herself who lends her voice talents to help other independent writers gain exposure.  (She was kind enough this past September to do a very skilled interpretation of my 2013 poem, “The Writer.”)  I recommend that you check out her wonderful audio series over at her Youtube channel.

“hens staring upward” was published previously by Peeking Cat Poetry Magazine and Dead Snakes in 2015.

My recording of “Roanoke Summer Midnight”

Hey, gang!  I had my reading of my poem “Roanoke Summer Midnight” included in a video by Peeking Cat Poetry Magazine a couple of weeks ago, after the piece was published in its 2017 anthology.  If you happened to miss that, this is the individual recording that I sent to the publisher for the video’s creation.  (I just uploaded it to Youtube.)

Today is the launch day for the Peeking Cat Anthology 2017!

If you are inclined to peruse some of the year’s best indie lit, you can find a link to ordering information here.  (The anthology is available in hardcover and softcover, as well as in Kindle format.)  Be sure to check out my poem, “Roanoke Summer Midnight,” as well as poetry, prose, art and photography from 70 other contributors.

Editor Samantha Rose was also kind enough to interview me; you can find that right here.

Thanks, Sam, for the opportunity to see my work featured in this terrific independent literature anthology!

Publication Notice: Peeking Cat Poetry Magazine

Hey, I got some really nice news this morning.  Editor Samantha Rose at Peeking Cat Poetry Magazine told me that she will feature my recent poem, “An Altogether Different Slumber,” in the July issue.

I’m always grateful to see my work appear beside Peeking Cat’s many talented contributors from all over the world.  Thanks, Sam!

Publication notice: Eric Robert Nolan to be featured via the “Poems-For-All” project.

I’m honored today to share some terrific news — four samples of my writing will be featured via Richard Hansen’s unique “Poems-For-All” project in California.  As the video below shows, Mr. Hansen produces miniature “books” of poetry that are about the size of business cards.  They can then be distributed randomly.

Here’s the description on the Facebook page for Poems-For-All: “They’re scattered around town — on buses, trains, cabs, in restrooms, bars, left along with the tip; stuffed into a stranger’s back pocket. Whatever. Wherever. Small poems in small booklets half the size of a business card. To be taken by the handful and scattered like seeds by those who want to see poetry grow in a barren cultural landscape.”

The poems selected were “Consciousness Haiku” and the first stanza of “Confession.”  (Mr. Hansen suggested it worked fine as a standalone poem.)  “Confession” first appeared at Dead Beats Literary Blog in 2013, and was then featured last year by Peeking Cat Poetry Magazine.

In addition, Mr. Hansen selected my 100-word horror story, “There in the Bags,” as well as my entries for the popular online Six-Word-Sci-Fi Story Challenge.  (He also publishes micro-fiction in the “little book” format.)

This is such a cool, unique project, and I’m grateful to be able to participate.
